Grimsby Minster has suffered a considerable financial blow following a lead theft from its ancient roof, resulting in an estimated £1,000 worth of damage. The incident, believed to have happened on Sunday evening, exacerbates an already difficult financial situation for the church, which operates with a weekly deficit of £1,000. Church warden, Bob Lockwood, characterised the incident as a major concern for the minster, deepening their financial strain. The Humberside Police are conducting investigations and are requesting the general public to come forward with any relevant information or surveillance video that may aid in identifying the criminals.
