Two Boys Arrested Following Incident at Metheringham Park

In an unsettling event that has disturbed the local community, a pair of boys have been apprehended following a distressing incident at a park in Metheringham, which resulted in a 10-year-old girl sustaining serious but not life-threatening injuries. The incident occurred on Monday afternoon at the Prince’s Street play park, located near the local school, at approximately 15:30 GMT. As of now, the girl is under treatment in hospital.

Lincolnshire Police have verified the arrests of two boys. One is a 15-year-old, accused on grounds of suspicion of intentionally causing serious physical harm, and the other is a 12-year-old boy, accused under suspicion of causing serious physical harm without intent. Both boys are presently in police custody while the investigation moves forward.
