Stephanie McLaggan, a 38-year-old woman from Gainsborough, will face trial in September over allegations of murdering her ex-partner. McLaggan, from North Warren Road, denies charges that she stabbed 44-year-old Gillian Connelly. The incident took place in the early hours of 28 July 2024, with Connelly found gravely injured on Wheeldon Street in Gainsborough. She later passed away in hospital. The trial, originally deferred due to McLaggan recently giving birth, is now set to commence on 29 September at Lincoln Crown Court. Overseeing proceedings will be Judge James House KC.
