Two individuals have been arrested in relation to a serious assault which occurred in Gainsborough. Lincolnshire Police responded to an incident on Melrose Road at 00:42 BST on Thursday morning, after calls were made in relation to a dispute involving a weapon. At the scene, medical support was given to the victim, who suffered injuries that were severe, but not believed to be life-endangering. A woman, aged 39, and a man, aged 43, are currently held in custody, suspected of conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm.
