Driver from Lincolnshire arrested after pedestrian injured in Cleethorpes crash

The driver, a 36-year-old man, was arrested after the collision between a car and pedestrian.

A motorist from Lincolnshire has been detained after a collision in Cleethorpes resulted in a walker being injured. The incident took place early on Saturday morning, at the North Promenade, with first responders arriving at the location around 05:25 BST. The pedestrian, a male, incurred an injury to his arm and required hospital treatment. The 36-year-old driver, a resident of Lincolnshire, was taken into custody under the suspicion of intentionally attempting to inflict serious harm, driving while exceeding the legal alcohol limit, and reckless driving.
