Lincolnshire Police have made a public appeal for eyewitnesses following an attack on a 14-year-old boy at the Quebec Road skate park in Mablethorpe. Despite an estimated 30 individuals being present at the time of the assault, no individuals have yet come forward to provide statements.
PC Nathan Price referred to the incident as being ‘dreadful’, and highlighted the fortunate recovery of the young victim. It has been reported that the boy suffered a kicking and punching attack by another teenager on Friday evening.
Expressing his disappointment, PC Price said, ‘Regrettably, of all those present when this assault occurred, not a single person has engaged with us or voluntarily presented any information. It’s deeply regrettable as it hampers our efforts to fully understand the precise circumstances of the incident and pursue those responsible.’
He entreated parents to engage with their children about the incident, stressing the importance of their co-operation with law enforcement. ‘It’s very likely if your child was present in the skatepark on Friday evening, they would have witnessed the incident,’ he pointed out. ‘Please communicate with your children and urge them to co-operate with us. I’m certain that any parent, if roles were reversed, would want justice for their child.’
