Proposed 120-Home Development Sparks Debate in Epworth

A proposal for a 120-home housing development has been submitted for a site in the Epworth region, based within North Lincolnshire. The proposal is marked to transform extensive farmland north of Newland Lane on the outskirts of the town. The site currently occupies over six hectares of arable land.

The application, put forth by S&M Hewson, provides details for a variety of two to four-bedroom homes. The proposal also includes particular emphasis on more than half of the development being designed to accommodate elderly residents. Additionally, 24 of these homes are earmarked for social, affordable or intermediate rent options.

Residents in the local community have voiced their worries and objections regarding the proposed development. North Lincolnshire Council has allowed residents until 31st July to submit their comments and concerns for review and consideration.
